As part of the Strategic Assessment and Local Community Planning process, local people across Fife were asked to consider aspects of the physical and social environment where they live and what needed to improve.

For Levenmouth, public transport is identified as the area needing most improvement, greater than in 2016.  Other areas with greatest need for improvement are: work and local economy, housing and community, and feeling safe.

Public transport and the directly related issue of work and local economy are the most pressing issues for Levenmouth across the seven local areas of Fife.  As bus services deteriorate, the need for a rapid transit link (ie rail) to the cities is vital to reverse Levenmouth’s decline.
